When people wrote Patterson wasn't highly recruited, it was factual,
not a slam job, really.
Kowal. A major project. That doesn't sound he sucked.
Bay. Yeah, some ripped him. Personally, I thought he had value. He
just wasn't All World like the board fallout made it sound.
I have to admit the roster "cleansing" is alarming but maybe that's
because Bzdelik expects much. Nothing wrong with that. In the end,
Bzdelik has to prove his way works. If he doesn't, he'll be gone too.
This honestly doesn't bother me. I'm not claiming to know but maybe
Patton ran a country club and Bzdelik knows he has to change things or
else the program will stink. The man is competitive. He wants to win.
Bad. I think Patton wanted to win and he worked hard but I don't think
he "needed" to win like Bzzzz does. I see the coach as a guy who would
be an animal to be around if winning isn't happening.
Williams could have gutted it out. He has talent, for sure, and
Bzdelik could have made him better.
